Trash_ Universe: Live Webcast - Volume 1

Ok, we are going to give it another try. If everything works, we'll have live Acid/Something/Improv for you. Here's the skinny:

Surachai, Benn Jordan and I. Kit includes: TR-808, Moog Prodigy, x0xb0x, Abletone Live, Virus TI, Cwejman S1, Korg KP3, a guitar and Logic recording it all on separate tracks. Lots of MIDI cables.... Hope it works...

*Update!*
Well, that seemed to go pretty well. We played for almost two hours or so, there are two video recordings (one an hour long, one 2 min long) and some photos of what went down ahead...

We are working on ways to get a line level output into the stream to broadcast. Right now, we can only get one of the cameras to work, which is just an apple isight with it's built in mic sound. We have another cam with a line input on the side an a shotgun mic mounted to the top that's much better quality...but it crashes the browser when we try to use it.

Anyway, We're working on making it better but the way we're broadcasting now (with blogtv.com) is kind of limited and buggy.

I wish I had the equipment to do stuff like that. Looks like you guys had a fun time. Too bad I wasn't there for the live thing.

You do have equipment to do that.

I want to listen again just for the computer talk. I don't really know what to say but nothing sounds as dirty and absurd as a computerized voice talking about triangle waves as sexual innuendo.

What voice program do you use? I had this shareware thing from Kurzweil for a while that I got some good use out of I've been meaning to install another voice program since that old computer died.

@Chris...

Oddly enough, when you type 'text to speech' in google, it's the very first thing that comes up:

http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php

It's web based from AT&T and outputs whatever you type as a WAV file. How convenient!

I've used that one before too. I found it limited in what it could do, like only reading short sentences, and only when typed into a field on the website. of course that was three years ago. I'll check it out again.
